Articulation/Mobilization

Supple joints through rhythmic movement

Articulation or mobilization is a more rhythmic technique without rapid movements. The purpose is to stretch joints and ligaments to make them supple. Through repeated, controlled movements, circulation increases in muscles, connective tissue, and the lymphatic system around the joint. This has an anti-inflammatory and pain-reducing effect. The technique is gentler than manipulation and can be used on patients where manipulation is not appropriate.
